Coding Analyst Analyst and Trainer, Revenue Cycle Management

The HIM/ROI Analyst and Trainer is responsible for working closely with HIM, coders, administrators, physicians and others to investigate and design strategic initiatives in order to improve workflows, reporting capabilities, overall performance and compliance monitoring. Facilitate in the training and support of HIM/Coding/ROI to promote new hospital builds, new hire orientation, workflow efficiency, systems and interface functionality
IT service desk support for HIM/ROI systems and works as a liaison between operators and hospital partner IT department
Participates in the build of HIM/Coding Systems and modules (i.e. Epic, Allscripts, 3M, Sunrise, Sovera)
Run reports and analytics within HIM and ROI functional areas
Receive requests, documents, and discover the root cause of data flow issues, recommend changes and assist with the resolution
Performs systems updates functions to maintain and improve data quality
Assist in the identification of new technologies that will improve departmental operations and takes a leadership role in any new technology implementation
Serves as a consultant to the regional hospitals and home office staff
Will assist in creating training material, E-Learnings and quick reference guides.
Will conduct training to the coding/HIM Staff
Responsible for updating CPT, DX and HCPCS for new and deleted codes
Work closing with Revenue Cycle Management
Performs other duties as needed
Minimum of 4 years working in HIM/Coding/ROI (i.e. Epic, Sunrise, Sovera, 3M, Allscripts) and ancillary applications
Extensive experience in customer service, support, troubleshooting and system integration
Coding certification preferred through AAPC, PMI or AHIMA
Execute reports to help monitor trends
Able to synthesize information recognize trends
Knowledgeable of healthcare improvement methodologies
Knowledgeable of HIPPA policies, medical terminology, HIM, ROI and coding workflows a plus
Confident to present complex information to front-line, mid-level, and executive staff
Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others
Work calmly and respond courteously while under pressure
Collaborate and accept direction
Exhibits strong verbal and written communication and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
Ability to be adaptable in order to work with challenging and demanding tasks and clients
Ability to quickly evaluate and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate detail-orientation and superior time management skills
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and must have strong data entry skills
